Summertime & Homegrown

Summertime & Homegrown are related projects about my hometown. Summertime is straight photojournalism, shot over four years of Wakefield summers. Homegrown is a short film I made in the summer that followed those four. It’s a more personal and artistic take on the same themes, using that photojournalistic work as a starting point. I’m looking at community through the relationship between people and place, and between collective thought and autobiography.

A collective meditation on the meaning of community. Made in Wakefield, Québec with original music from Greg Stone: stoneageman.ca Created by Adrian Kiva: adriankiva.com 2019.
